Overlay Materials and Non-Polyimide Adhesives
KAPTON® polyimide is an exceptionally strong, heat resistant film with an excellent combination of mechanical and electric properties. American Durafilm is an
authorized and stocking distributor of DuPont KAPTON® polyimide films. In addition to the KAPTON® KH flexible heater foil, the following KAPTON® "overlay" materials are available in various widths, lengths, and can be shipped within 24 hours of your order:
Overlay Materials
- KAPTON® Type HN- An all-purpose, uncoated film, with toughness and dielectric integrity at very high and very low temperatures.
- KAPTON® Type FN- A composite of KAPTON HN and TEFLON® FEP film to impart heat sealability, for substrate lamination, and coverlay.
- KAPTON® Type XP- A composite of KAPTON HN and PFA film to impart heat sealability, for substrate lamination, and coverlay. The PFA layer is especially suited
for applications that require high bond strength at elevated operating temperatures.
- KAPTON® Type KJ- All-polyimide thermoplastic sheet adhesive for high-temperature bonding under pressure. Suitable for coverlay and heater mounting.
- KAPTON® Type HPP-ST- An all-purpose, uncoated film, with all the properties of type HN and specially surface treated for superior adhesion to both fluoropolymer
sheet adhesives (TEFLON® FEP and PFA) and to KAPTON® kJ polyimide adhesive, as well as customer supplied adhesives.
Non-Polyimide Adhesives
